The Role
Brief: We are looking for a software development Manager to deliver applications in line with business requirements.
What You’ll Do:
The Software Development Manager (SDM) will fill a key role and oversee the software development group and will report directly to the Director of Operations. He or She will establish and develop the technology and software development department. The Individual will lead the development team in the designing, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. The successful candidate will manage all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery. The SDM provides appropriate procedures and processes followed when it comes to software development and resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary and keeping up to date with the latest development software, analyzes software requirements; implements design plans, reviews unit tests; documents software development; monitors status of developing software; writes, reviews and revises product requirements and specifications; participates in other areas of the software development process, ensures proper documentations and provides technical support to other company personnel and other tech duties as assigned.
The individual should possess solid communication, technical, management, organizational, and analytical skills. The candidate will fit well in an environment that rewards bright, self-starting, energetic, and focused individuals with ever-increasing responsibility and challenge. The candidate will need to process strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work with others.
What You Should Have:
5+ years of hands-on software development and 2 years of building and managing high-performance software development teams.
Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Should have extensive exposure in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
Strong knowledge of programming especially in website and mobile application development.
Ability to well understand project requirements.
Properly choose work infrastructure and tools for each project.
Ability to choose the best suitable hosting platform for each project.
Ability to choose the proper cyber security and protection practices.
Provide the proper documentation and backup strategies using proper tools and platforms like github.

Should be a good mentor and coach.
