NETZ is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Specialist for our physical commodities trade desk. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth, fostering client relationships, and expanding our market presence in the competitive commodities industry.

Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and market trends. Develop and implement effective strategies to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth.
Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Negotiation and contract management: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and partners to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for commodity transactions. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Market analysis and intelligence: Stay updated on market dynamics, industry trends, and competitor activities. Analyze market data and identify potential risks and opportunities to develop effective business strategies.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including trading, logistics, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of transactions. Foster a cohesive and cooperative work environment to achieve common business objectives.
Networking and industry representation: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance the company’s visibility and establish valuable connections within the commodities trading community. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company’s values and capabilities.

Requirements:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in business development or sales within the physical commodities trading industry.
Proven Knowledge of Commodities Trading: Demonstrated strong understanding of physical commodities markets, trading practices, supply chains, and related financial instruments. In-depth knowledge of market regulations and compliance standards.
Business Acumen: Proven track record of successfully identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities in the physical commodities trading industry. A documented history of achieving sales targets, building and managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Established Industry Network: A well-established network of contacts within the physical commodities trading industry, including clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to leverage this network to generate new business and explore strategic partnerships.
Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to effectively negotiate contracts, influence stakeholders, and articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated strong analytical skills to assess market trends, evaluate risks, and develop strategic business plans. Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
Adaptability and Resilience: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment within the physical commodities trading industry. Track record of successfully adapting to changing market conditions, prioritizing tasks effectively, and meeting deadlines.
