We are looking for a qualified and passionate Assistant Quality Manager to be based in Dubai, UAE. You will be responsible for maintaining our QHSE process and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects, communicate with business leaders and has at least 5 years of work experience in handling Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of the planned and systematic activities required by Kanoo Shipping.
Ensure all our services/ activities are compliant to the company policies and regulatory/ customer ISO requirements.
Must provide a clear definition of our processes, development and application of measurement systems, analysis of performance, and ensuring improvement actions are carried out by concerned departments.
Monitors the day to day compliance of all Kanoo Shipping UAE – Reports issues to Shipping Manager – UAE as appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring that a systematic investigation of the root causes of non-conformities is carried out, appropriate corrective and preventive actions are developed/ implemented to prevent recurrence – Monitors the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions that have been implemented to ensure necessary adjustments.
Responsible for ensuring Kanoo Shipping – UAE’s ISO 9001:2008 accreditations are maintained.
Monitors suppliers to ensure Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE / Accounting requirements including company’s policies are strictly complied at all times.
Ensure in-house and principal Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved by all offices. Carry out monthly reviews and coordinate with front line managers for formulation and effective implementation if corrective actions as required.
Job Requirements:
At least 5 years experience in handling Quality and Safety Management Systems and related activities, preferably in the shipping industry inside the UAE.
Prior experience as a quality or safety auditor.
Holding a minimum of a high school/ college degree /diploma.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 is preferred.
Holding a valid UAE or GCC country driving license (preferable)
Candidate Specifications:

Good MS office knowledge, specifically, MS Word & Excel.
Excellent communication skills, since you will be responsible to deal directly with our partners and business leaders.
Must be able to lead and guide the team.
You must be proactive, persuasive and analytical.
