Underwriting Manager – (General Insurance – Non Motor)
Alliance Insurance is looking for a suitable candidate to head the General Insurance Underwriting Dept.
Responsibilities:
• Managing General Insurance Underwriting Dept and ensure the Underwriting practices are carried out in accordance with company’s underwriting policy and procedures.
• Risk evaluation, submission of quotations and ensuring due diligence in acceptance of risks in all lines of General Insurance (Non Motor) within the risk appetite of the company.
• Developing business relations with customers, brokers and other distribution channels for business development.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team of Underwriters
• To ensure Underwriting documents, quotations are issued within TOT
• Ensuring adherence to compliance & AML requirements.
• Developing Facultative reinsurance market in coordination with reinsurance dept.
Qualification & Skills:
• University Graduate or higher
• Professional qualifications like ACII / FIII / CPCU is a must.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Well versed in Computer skills
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in General Insurance Underwriting with not less than of 3 years as head of Underwriting Dept.
• Sound Knowledge in handling Property, Engineering, Marine Cargo & Hull, Liability and General Accident lines.
• Good Reinsurance knowledge and experience in Facultative reinsurance placement is an added advantage.
