Position for International Sign Language Interpreter (ISL)

Responsibilities
The ISL Interpreter’s role is comprised of the following activities:
Provide interpretation between ISL and English using different forms of visual/gestural communication in a variety of settings including internal and external assignments.
May have to research if he or she is working in a situation involving highly technical or complex information to understand what will be interpreted.
Qualifications
The ISL Language Interpreter must have a college degree from an accredited ISL interpreter training program.
The ASL interpreter must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in ISL interpreting. • The ASL Interpreter should be perfectly bilingual in both English and ISL and know how to take a text and interpret it into ISL.
