Key Job Accountabilities:
• To ensure the swimming curriculum is delivered in an exciting and challenging way and meets the needs of individual pupils.
• To have responsibility and accountability for standards, expectations, planning for, and assessment of the class.
• Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
• To be a positive team member, share, and work collaboratively for the benefit of teaching and learning within the team and the school as a whole.
• To foster the development of a positive and supportive ethos for academic progress and social development.
• To contribute to and participate in school events.
• To demonstrate a clear appreciation of the importance of parents, children, staff, and governors as key stakeholders.
• To display a high standard of professional behavior and integrity at all times, adhering to the line management structure whilst contributing to professional teams.
• To have a sound working knowledge of the Swim England Swimming Curriculum or comparable.
• To proactively support and contribute to initiatives and curriculum enhancements.
• To work within agreed timeframes and deadlines.
• To work lead and assist sports camps throughout the year.
Our ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of a Level 2 swimming qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Lifeguard or Swim Rescue Award is preferred.
• Microsoft office knowledge is a must.
• Experience of teaching a wide range of children in a commercial club or educational environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and adaptation with particular attention to the swimming curriculum.
• Uphold responsibility for the monitoring and assessment of students’ attainment and progress.
• Develop excellence amongst students by identifying exceptional learners and subsequently providing performance pathways.
• Willingness and ability to attend and run extra-curricular activities, squad training and competitions.
