We are currently partnered with a Commodity Trading firm that specialises in Quantitative Trading & Investment Strategies within Oil, Power and Gas. The business is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and passionate DevOps Engineer to join their Dubai office.
Responsibilities:
The creation of Kafka environments (cloud and on-premise);
Enhancing the scalability and availability of our systems;
Assisting in establishing and implementing our event streaming architecture;
Sharing input on the architecture of our data pipelines;
Providing day-to-day trading support.
Requirements:
An inherent desire to strive for excellence;
An interest in colleagues’ work;
Proficiency in Kafka or Apache Spark
Understanding of KSQL or sparkSQL
Knowledge of Python for scripting purposes;
Previous experience in a similar role;
Prior exposure to cloud technologies;
Familiarity with CI/CD technologies;
Understanding of LinuxOS;
Exposure to Nomad, Airflow, Ansible is nice to have.
