Role purpose overview

Part of Meeting Point International’s – Centre of Competence, this position is responsible for driving and delivering business performance and processes around strategic improvement projects in support of the Global Lead for Product. You will be a master of standardisation, best practice, and transformation for supplier and vendor facing activities for our global destination management company (DMC) and will be adept at analysing and identifying opportunities to engineer competitive and profitable advantages.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Support the DMC organisation in defining its global product strategy and assist local Product teams in its delivery
Conduct research and analysis to evaluate current models and identify opportunities for improvement, presenting findings in a professional and easy-to-understand manner
Develop standardised tools, processes and documents to drive product excellence, standards and efficiencies
Collaborate with Commercial and Operations centres of competence to ensure effective solutions
Contribute to KPI planning, implementation, and achievement
Support Global Lead for Products in delivering global optimisation, standardisation and compliance initiatives, including;
Portfolio Assessment principles and metrics
Consistent product processes, procedures and workflows
Procurement Policies & Procedures
Product and Service SLAs
Supplier participation in product development
Standardised supplier contracts and contracting brief templates
Health & Safety and Compliance standards and procedures
Travel from time to time

Qualifications and experience

BA degree or higher, MBA is advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in product, operations, strategy, project management and the implementation of improvement projects against product & service related KPIs
Very strong analytical and problem solving skills, creative and adaptable
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of any other languages is a plus
The ability to work in a global, cross cultural environment, a strong influencer with good interpersonal skills
Prior experience in the travel industry including technical experience in the field of vendor and content management is advantage
