Job Position: Logistics Supervisor
Roles & Duties
Handling all import and export shipments after verifying documents before shipping, including Transfer of Ownership within Jebel Ali freezone.
Processing COO attestation online through Dubai Chamber portal
Comparing and negotiating freight charges between couriers, air freight and sea freight and make decision based on the Sales order delivery commitment dates.
Sending pre alerts/Manifest to warehouse in a timely manner for shipment delivery
TRA permits whenever required
Arranging Jebel Ali gate pass
Handling DG shipments
Preparing shipping documents for drop shipment and export shipments after checking with customers the requirements
Answering main reception telephone line and diverting calls and information to concerned person
Following up on GRN and solving issues after coordinating with suppliers
Sending delivery requests to warehouse and following up on getting packing details and shipping documents. Verifying the documents and then arrange dispatch.
Following up on ETA with suppliers
Intercompany shipments and document preparation – for MEA region
LC documents in coordination with finance team
Visa / Hotel booking / Flight tickets bookings for the BSS team
Arranging and managing Shipment insurance
RMA communications and follow up with suppliers.
Responsible to maintain inventory within the financial guidelines and goals
Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency
Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations
Discover new trends and innovations in the fields of warehousing and storage programs.

Education and Training: To become a logistics supervisor requires a suitable degree ( preferably bachelor’s degree) in supply chain management, business, or industrial engineering
Decision Making: logistics supervisors need good decision-making skills to be able to consider the relative cost and benefits of potential actions to decide on the best one
Communication Skill: They should have excellent English communication skill ( both written and verbal) to effectively negotiate with carriers, suppliers, custom brokers, and customers.
System Evaluation: They should be able to identify measures or indicators of system performance that are relative to the goals of the system
Complex Problem Solving: They should have the ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solution.
Critical Thinking: They need to know how to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
Experience : 3-5 years minimum experience working in industrial engineering & trading , manufactures or systems integration business in Teleco and/or broadcast is a must.
