Job Purpose:

Provide support to the registration operations and the administrative work in the office of the registrar/ Admission and Registration Department.

Admission and Registration Department is the connection link between students, faculties, administration and external authorities. The department is complex, data-centric, and involves building and maintaining positive relationships throughout the institution and with external bodies.

The focus of the department is to provide “words of wisdom” and considered to be the trusted advisor for all department’s stakeholders.

The department general goals are:

Supports and serves all student’s Admissions, Registration and Graduation with integrity and equity under the university policies and CAA guidelines
Maintain and preserve all university student academic records
Facilitates the academic processes for all academic departments and Administration
Provide appropriate management to the class and examination schedule
Ensure the full compliance with the university roles and regulations

Role:

Ensure the full compliance with the admission regulations, policies and Ministerial Admission decrees.
Maintain accurate admission data (Entry, Update, Retention).
Registering new/existing students in the selected courses as per the approves study plans and degree Audits.
Support the student registration challenges in coordination with the designated college officials.
Provide regular audit to student’s study plans, graduation plans and degree audits.
Work closely with the other university unites (i.e. “Students Recruitment”, “Accounts”)
Admission Test Scores Verifications.
Participate in auditing processes to admission files.
Alerting and flagging complains and urgent requests.
Providing Regular updates and statistics on Admission figures.
Coordinating the placement tests with the concerned college/department.
Responsible for student’s missing admission documents Collection.
Providing Regular updates on the Conditional Admission students.
Providing guidance, reports and updates to the University graduation committee
Providing guidance to the “Expected to graduate students” with all graduation requirements and processes for attestation and equivalencies.
Liaising with other university department to ensure the smoothness and accuracy of the graduation clearance.
Monitoring and controlling the student’s study-loads / Pre-requisites under the university policies and procedures.
Managing, students’ inquiries and requests; including directing the students requests to the responsible units;

Qualification:

A university undergraduate degree in the discipline of (Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Data analysis, Management)
A minimum of two years working experience, with having prior experience of working in an education institution in a related role.
English is requirement. Arabic is an asset.
Canadian affiliation or a keen understanding of Canada is required.
