Responsibilities
Are you an Entertainment journalist who wants to be part of a dynamic newsroom? If yes, we are looking for you.
The role is that of Assistant Editor, Entertainment section, which includes helping the editor in daily management of the digital and print editions, make print pages, editing, proofreading and filing stories when needed.
It would be ideal to have at least 6 years’ of newsroom experience with a combined experience of page-making for print and managing online content.
You would need to be social media savvy, and required to handle the Entertainment social media channels including Instagram and Twitter.
You have to be well-versed with all the beats in Entertainment including Hollywood, Bollywood, K-Pop, K-drama, music, star fashion and events.
This is a predominantly a desk bound role, with limited reporting opportunity.
Qualifications
Familiarity with SEO and web analytics is important.
Proficiency in InDesign and InCopy software would help, however intensive training will be provided.
