We are looking for an experienced an Assistant Tanker Manager to be based in our offices in Dubai, UAE.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Tanker manager on all responsibilities and act for him during his absence
Responsible for effectively and efficiently managing Kanoo Shipping West Coast Tanker operations (Tanker Operations Department in Dubai + Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah offices) to achieve the organization’s business plan and contribute to the achievement of the overall budget of Kanoo Shipping.
Responsible for the growth, development and continual improvement of Tanker operations and ensuring of handling current and future market requirements in Tanker operations effectively and efficiently.
Carry out market research and obtain information that can be used as basis for strategic business decisions and / or identifying new business opportunities.
Analyze contractual commitments, customer’s specifications and data to plan and develop a long term Strategic Business Plan (SBP) and Immediate Business Plan to carry out SBP for approval of Shipping Manager – Northern Emirates.
Prepare statistical reports with accordance to the company, industry and business requirements for review of Shipping Manager – Northern Emirates & Vice President UAE & Oman.
Represent the organization in order to develop / enhance partnerships / business relationships with both potential and current customers for the best interest of Kanoo Shipping.
Represent the organization in order to develop / enhance a senior level relationship/contact with government agencies relevant to Kanoo Shipping operations.
Responsible for the effective implementation / compliance of Management Requirements as per Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE Procedures and Policies in Kanoo Maritime Center operations.
Ensuring the availability of approved suppliers (as per procedure) to provide customer requirements in a cost effective manner.
Monitor suppliers to ensure Kanoo Shipping Operational / Quality / HSSE / Accounting requirements are strictly complied at all times.
Investigates customer complaints, procedure / safety related issues and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented with submission of formal report to Shipping Manager –UAE.
Ensure Kanoo Shipping’s / principal’s Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved. Carry out monthly reviews and implement effective corrective actions when required.
Ensure to maximize profits/operational output and optimize resource utilization in West Coast Tanker operations.
Carry out supplier evaluation/approval and performance re-evaluation.
Support to other Kanoo Shipping offices in the Middle East / Kanoo Group divisions / joint ventures where possible (e.g. forwarding information on possible business leads, utilization of other division services, etc)
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in management level of shipping agency and related Tanker Operations, import and offshore operations
Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Quality & HSSE Management Systems
Strong skills in Time management, Negotiation, Team management and Implementation
Must be proficient in using MS Office.
