Job Purpose

To control and guide the growth of a conglomerate business operation.
Creating a new financial structure within the existing organization.
Setting up, extending and integrating a strong financial department
Supporting the Management in projects like mergers and acquisitions, funding, liquidity, tax optimizations
Improving tax & regulatory issues
Budget & pricing models

Responsibilities

Leading financially 5 legal entities of wide geographical coverage.
Manage the group financial consolidation process
Ensure the group’s activities are compliant with financial processes, systems, and policies
Broad vision of several financial impacts (pricing & taxation)
Preparing and analyzing budgets
Performing risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
Preparation and closing of monthly Financial Statements, in accordance with IFRS Standard Group Policy & Procedures
Thorough knowledge of VAT, Corporate tax and transfer pricing.
Ability to restructure and coach the financial department of 4 in the UAE – HQ
Ensure the AR and AP functions are aligned with company procedures and protocol
Regular reconciliation of inter-company balances
Manage and supervise external audit
Support the Management in strategic questions from a financial point of view
Provide monthly cash flow forecasting reports, highlighting areas where funds are required to maintain the operational position of each entity
Manage the marketing trade spend governance
Financial screening of mergers & acquisitions.
Long-term planning: creating 1 entity in a holding structure
Transforming the department towards a SAP-oriented department

A Successful Applicant

Finance expert – Fully qualified CA/CFA/CPA/ACCA
Wide knowledge of international taxation and REIT
Minimum 10 Years of Experience with 5 years of managerial positions in the Real Estate and Construction industry
Mandatory regional experience of UAE and added advantage to other MENA and Indian regions

Preferred Skills

Fund Management / Investment Management
Working knowledge of Legal Compliance in financial matters
Focus on entrepreneurial qualities and personality
Getting things done – self-propelling
Negotiator, able to discuss with bankers
Eventual travelling is required
Strong command of written and spoken English
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with any ERP system, such as Oracle, SAP would be beneficial.
Proficient in personal computer skills (Spreadsheet, PowerPoint, Presentations)
Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
Excellent communication skills
