Software Engineer – Reporting Specialist
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time – Onsite
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain a centralized repository of integrated data from one or more disparate sources.
· Ensure data is cleaned, standardized, and prepared for reporting and analysis.
· Design data models that efficiently support reporting and analysis needs.
· Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards that meet the business requirements.
· Create visual representations of analytical data to make complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable.
· Provide support for ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring that business users receive the data and insights they need.
· Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
· Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other critical metrics.
· Use BI tools and techniques to transform data into actionable intelligence.
· Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
· Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and data interpretation.
· Participate in data governance activities to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
· Ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and data outputs.
· Continuously explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data warehousing and reporting capabilities.
Requirements:
· 5+ years of expertise in mobile/ web application development platform related to Reporting and analytics logic Implementation, Design, Deploy Reports to large scale clients.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science Engineering, or a related field
· Proficient in database management systems (DBMS) like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
· Experience with data modeling tools, such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or Visio. ETL tools, such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend; Data warehouse platforms, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.
· Skilled in business intelligence and Data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView are essential.
· Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
· Experience in Leading projects related to data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
· Proven knowledge in requirement gathering and in analyzing business requirements to guide the development of the data warehouse and reporting solutions.
· Specialists should have the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
