General Maintenance Technician

Education
A minimum High school diploma or a combination of equivalents is preferred
Job Description
Electrical work, lighting, power circuits, power DB …..etc
Plumbing fitting work, water pipe, sanitary fixture… etc
AC maintenance work
Painting, tiling, grouting and silicon touch-up work
General carpentry work and maintenance
Experience
Proven experience as a maintenance technician
Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working experience with tools, common appliances and devices
Knowledge
Maintain and keep office database for all mechanical systems onboard and their repair history.
Identify, manage, and monitor risks.
Carry out inspections to verify the accuracy of the planned maintenance system.
Skills
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) mandatory, Microsoft Project, and Auto Cad advantage.
Extensive knowledge and experience in relevant marine and offshore legislations, inspection standards, class rules requirements, and industry codes.
Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
Decisiveness and judgment.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of customer impacts.
Customer focus & Leadership skills including effective time management and prioritization skills.
Positive and solution-focused attitude with a clear goal-based approach to problem-solving.
Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and lead teams operating in remote locations without the need to maintain a continuous presence.
Ability to represent the Company and build relationships with regional management teams and develop solutions to their satisfaction.

Practical experience with tools and equipment used in general maintenance.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals
Good verbal and written communication skills

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
A willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
The ability to carry heavy loads and to stand, sit, and stoop for prolonged periods
