Key Responsibilities:
Manage the development and execution of F&B marketing activity on a national, regional and local level, including annual calendar of marketing activity and property level activation plans, briefing, budget setting, creative and execution development, media planning, and reporting
Manage the branding and continued development of core F&B concepts, as well as project manage the implementation of new concepts including restaurant or bar renovations.
Writing engaging and on brand copy for individual brands
Designing of marketing collateral – including pre-launch activity and ongoing activations
Support in the creation and delivery of the marketing, PR and digital collateral for all venue-specific events
Support in the updating and development of the venue websites / social media / local news
Work effectively with the operations teams to create and deliver local marketing initiatives
Conduct market and competitor research
New openings – team effort for ALL openings, but one marketing manager will take the lead
Responsible for identifying new ways of targeting F&B consumers and increasing covers in restaurants and bar revenues
Responsible for establishing, evaluating, and implementing recommendations of online marketing channels to support the promotion of F&B outlets, including third-party sites and directories
Responsible for providing tracking and analysis of F&B marketing activity, and understanding and critiquing the performance of F&B outlets to make recommendations on suitable F&B marketing activity
Ideal candidate will have:
Strong passion for food & beverage, restaurants and nightlife
Excellent end to end project and marketing campaign management skills, including briefing, planning, execution and analysis of marketing activity including the ability to manage multiple projects and marketing plans at once
Knowledge of digital marketing techniques, including but not limited to planning and assessing digital media, including programmatic media buying practices and paid social media, application of social media channels, use of customer communication channels including email, website management.
Ability to identify specific action steps, accountabilities and timelines for workload including able to hold self and others accountable for achieving results
An eye for detail and experience of delivering high quality and professional marketing creative, developed both internally and through the use of appropriate agency / outsourced resources. Excellent copywriting skills are a strong plus.
Ability to gain the confidence and trust of others (including operational teams at restaurants / venues) through their own authenticity, ethical standards and follow-through on commitments
Ability to use standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel. Some working knowledge of photoshop / Canva or other designing tools is a plus.
Education:
Degree in marketing related function or equivalent higher education experience
3+ years progressive work experience in a marketing related role within a high-quality restaurant / hotel group.
Food and beverage or hospitality marketing related experience required
