Technical Director is involved in all aspects of the business with particular focus on daily operations of the Company:
Campaigns delivery
Specific deliverables for static (traditional) campaigns
– Turnkey processing of printing orders from initiation to posting and removal
– Scheduling, QC
– Reviewing production costs, negotiation of offers
Specific deliverables for digital campaigns
– Coordination of activities with the scheduling team
– Assure the campaigns timely and correctly uploaded, and seamlessly running
Obtaining necessary permits from landlord, coordination of works with its Operations and other concerned departments
Assurance the works compliant to the HSE requirements and other regulations
Provide reporting to internal and external stakeholders on the deliverables
Assets maintenance
Assure the assets are safe to operate and compliant to quality standards during the lifespan
Analyse performance of the assets, define needs for preventive maintenance, present maintenance budgets
Schedule and control inhouse and 3rd party inspections
Prepare maintenance and cleaning schedules, assure they are fulfilled by the subordinating team
Warehousing
Managing inventory (spare parts, components) in the storage locations at own and 3rd party owned premises
Assure on-time replenishment of materials and keeping safe stock levels of components
Responsible for periodic stock take and corresponding reports
Assure materials movements are correctly and timely posted in the ERP by subordinating staff
Assure that the storage premises are maintained in compliance to the Company, governmental regulations and highest HSE levels (housekeeping)
Logistics
Coordination of prices and schedules with 3PL companies
Assure timely dispatch (export) of materials for repairs and return upon completion; overseeing international deliveries (import)
HSE
Continuously promote safety at workplaces
Assure the premises and assets are free of hazards, enforce reporting and elimination
Assure compliance to ESG policy
Assure the staff are trained and certified to execute the assigned tasks
Procurement
Overseeing purchasing of services and materials related to the department’s activities
Prepare requests (RFQ) to vendors, negotiate prices and conditions of offers
Assure suppliers compliant to Code of Conduct
Projects delivery
Facilitating installation of assets assigning the subordinating technicians for the jobs, work closely with the project department on schedules and other preliminaries
Control inhouse and outsourced R&D, overseeing paperwork that is required for installations (RAMS, drawings, etc)
Provide technical briefs and overall guidance to manufacturing suppliers whenever needed, assure on-time supply of materials and services
Administration
Assure databases are up to date
Produce necessary reports using IT systems
Staffing
Regularly review performance of the subordinates, set short- and long-term targets, monitor progress
Define needs for team reinforcement/reorganization
Prepare recruitment request (job description) if hiring confirmed
Interviewing candidates
Define needed trainings for staff and new joiners
Key Qualities Required:
Strong business acumen
Fluent in English, other languages (Arabic, French) is a plus
Bachelor of engineering. Business degree is an asset.
Has work experience in OOH Media (static and digital), or worked for a large-format printing/manufacturing companies on operations side
Soundly skilled in MS Office package, has a deep focus on Excel
With previous HSE trainings (IOSH, NEBOSH, etc)
Has understanding of warehouse operations and premises (facilities) management
Experienced in ERP software (SAP preferred)
Has recent employment history in the ME, work experience with airports will be advantageous
Good communication skills and ability to manage a team in a multicultural environment
