Junior Piping Engineer
Job location: Abu Dhabi – UAE
Job Description:
– Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, support Drawings
– Ensures all modelling and drafting activities are completed within allocated schedule and budgeted hours. Efficiently and effectively manages multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team. Communicates with Senior Piping Designers daily and seeks guidance to prevent undue delay and ensure success of the project.
– Delivers pipe stress and other miscellaneous calculations efficiently and effectively manages multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.
– Adheres to and complies with engineering procedures and standards and provides constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Identifies potential applications for new processes and technologies to improve productivity and efficiency
– Ensures effective communication and interface between all disciplines for design and development.
Participates in internal audits and investigations as required.
Desired Candidate Profile:
– Site experience is benefit but not essential.
– Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
– Certification in piping design or engineering
– Preferably seeking candidates of any nationality.
– Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD and other piping design software.
– SP-MAT experience is preferred.
– Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.).
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
