Job Brief:

We are searching for a reliable quantity surveyor to join our capable team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.

Job Description & Responsibilities

❖ Reviewing of tender drawings and IFC drawings and to draw comparison & identifying any changes and highlighting to the client
❖ Checking all the measurements/ quantities & highlight any deviations to Management
❖ Any changes to the original scope of work to be notified and variation claims to be submitted for valuation.
❖ Evaluation of new prices and cost valuation for the variation works
❖ Preparation of Interim payment application (monthly invoicing) based on work done
❖ Follow up of payment certificates & trying to minimize the difference in billing value vs certified amount
❖ Subcontract invoicing to be evaluated & determine their payments based on actual works done at site
❖ Subcontract trackers to be maintained for all live projects & their final accounts to be closed out within one month of completion of works
❖ Need to evaluate & minimize the Variations claims by subcontractors
❖ To maintain all project-related correspondence from time to time which will be helpful for claiming EOT and prolongations
❖ Conducting sites meeting with Client QS team on variations & other claims
❖ Collecting data on personnel productivity at site and comparing the budgeted cost vs actual incurred.

Required Skills

❖ Language Proficiency, Computer Proficiency
❖ Ability to read and understand drawings
❖ Knowledge of analyzing the Quantity as per the drawings
❖ Communication skills & Management skills
❖ Team building skills, Leadership Qualities
❖ Estimations, Quantity takeoff, Negotiations with Clients/Consultants, Time Management, Work under pressure
❖ Minimum 10 years’ experience in the same field
❖ Bachelor’s (Required) BS- Civil Engineering/ BS in Quantity Surveying
