Job Title: Physical Commodity Trader – Metals Trade Desk

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Description:

As a Physical Commodity Trader, you will be responsible for executing and managing physical metal trades, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Your expertise in metals trading and comprehensive market knowledge will play a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Execute physical commodity trades in metals, including but not limited to manganese ore, iron ore, copper, lithium, aluminum, and other base metals.
Develop and maintain a strong network of clients, suppliers, and industry contacts to facilitate profitable trading opportunities.
Analyze market trends, global supply and demand factors, geopolitical events, and economic indicators to identify potential trading opportunities and risks.
Negotiate and finalize trade agreements, contracts, and other related documentation with legal team.
Monitor and manage trade positions, ensuring timely and accurate execution, delivery, and settlement.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as risk management, logistics, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless trade execution and optimal profitability.
Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market developments affecting the metals trading landscape.
Provide market insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all trading activities.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Physical Commodity Trader in the metals industry, with a focus on executing and managing physical trades.
Extensive network of clients, suppliers, and industry contacts in the metals trading space.
Strong understanding of global metals markets, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and trade finance.
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex trading agreements.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret market data and trends effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (preferred).
