As an FF&E Interior Designer you will be responsible for putting together the main selection of FF&E specifications and will be in-charge of creating material sample boards, sourcing of alternative materials and finishes to meet the project budget and client needs.
• Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for ideation, conceptualization and the preparation of concept narrative, mood boards and material boards.
Responsible for design development.
Strong Knowledge of FF&E libraries and having a strong supplier data base and contacts
Prepare detailed FF&E specification sheets and physical/digital material boards
Responsible for arranging materials, mock-ups and samples and present it to clients.
Recognize the goals set for each project and work towards achieving these goals while balancing design, technical, and business objectives.
Establish detailed material procurement plans based on actual material delivery lead times.
Initiate the development of design solutions and details, check the work of team members, and coordinate work with others on the project team and with outside project consultants, documenting the outcome.
Actively look for and implement techniques to improve quality of work and efficiency.
Actively developing skills and keeping up to date with the latest materials, technologies, and software.
Attending design events and actively looking for new trends and design techniques.
Essential Skills/Attributes
Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills expected with the high level of design and professionalism required for an FF&E Interior Designer.
Thorough understanding of all project phases of work including programming, space planning, color and material selections, FF&E selections, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction.
Exhibit understanding of building code, accessibility regulations, and other regulatory requirements, as they relate to the interior’s aspects of the projects and checks documents for compliance.
Exhibit thorough understanding of finishes and building materials, furniture and furniture systems, building systems, construction details and construction techniques for interiors.

3Ds Max/Sketchup/Revit/Rhino 3D
Vray rendering
Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop – Illustrator/CorelDraw – InDesign)
Microsoft office
•Requirements:
Must hold an Architectural or Interior Design University degree (BSc – Barch – Barts)
Minimum 3 years experience holding FF&E Interior Designer role in the UAE.
Experience in hospitality and/or high-end residential projects is a must.
