The Demi Chef De Partie is responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods while ensuring that the quality of the products is of a high standard.
Key responsibilities of a Demi Chef De Partie – pastry section may include:
Preparing and presenting a range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
Developing new dessert and pastry recipes.
Ensuring that all pastry ingredients are stored, labeled and rotated correctly.
Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry section.
Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as required.
Ensuring that all equipment in the pastry section is maintained, clean and in good working order.
Assisting the CDP pastry chef with administrative tasks such as inventory and menu planning.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a culinary qualification and at least 2 years of experience working in a pastry kitchen. They should have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a keen eye for detail.
