Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Russian Chef to join our culinary team. As a Russian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Russian cuisine dishes, including soups, stews, meat dishes, dumplings, and various other traditional Russian dishes. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Russian cuisine, a solid understanding of traditional Russian cooking techniques, and excellent culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook traditional Russian cuisine dishes in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Develop and update menus that showcase the best of Russian cuisine and seasonal ingredients
Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards
Ensure that the kitchen meets all food safety and sanitation standards
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques, and incorporate them into menu development and cooking practices
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Russian Chef or in a similar role
A strong passion for Russian cuisine and a deep understanding of traditional Russian cooking techniques
Excellent culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking methods, knife skills, and food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to lead and manage a team of kitchen staff
Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education and Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Culinary degree or certification preferred, but not required
