Job Summary:

Ayoush Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team in the Cold Kitchen department. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of cold dishes with precision and creativity. Your expertise in cold food preparation, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

– Prepare and present a variety of cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and cold entrees, according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.

– Ensure that all cold food items are prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

– Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to develop and refine cold kitchen menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.

– Coordinate and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient preparation and delivery of cold food items.

– Monitor inventory levels, report any shortages, and assist in inventory management to minimize waste.

– Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper food handling and storage procedures.

– Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in cold food preparation techniques, portion control, and plating presentation.

– Adhere to kitchen policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, with a focus on cold food preparation.

– Strong culinary skills with expertise in cold kitchen techniques and presentation.

– Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

– Excellent attention to detail and plating presentation skills.

– Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

– Creativity and ability to contribute to menu development and innovation.

– Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

– Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are preferred.
