Designation: Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Perfect Balance Rehabilitation Centre, Level 21, Tamouh Tower, Reem Island, Abu Dhabi
Responsibilities
Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and treating language and speech disorders.
Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, physicians, and teachers to design effective treatment plans.
Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress.
Providing workshops and trainings for teachers and parents.
Contribute to the education of multidisciplinary groups, patients, families and carers as appropriate.
Maintain and develop current knowledge of evidence-based practice and continue to develop specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy conditions, treatment and management.
Qualifications / Experience
At least 4 years of experience working in both clinic and school settings
Experience working with: Language delays, phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Fluency disorders, Auditory processing disorders, executive and cognitive functioning disorders, feeding experience is a plus
Bilingual: Arabic/English speaker (preferable)
