Job Purpose
To manage and complete the assign projects on time, within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects technically and commercially. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project.
Key Accountabilities
• Managing projects within the established scope, schedule, checklist, and budget while meeting or surpassing standards of quality and initiating kick-off meeting
• Responsible for entire project management plan including scope, procurement, production, design, communication, cost, time, risk, project human resources, delivery, etc.
• Represent the company in all project meetings
• Corrections modifications, suggestions to get final approval and confirmation
• Ensure health and safety measures are strictly followed at the site. The Project Manager has to invite HSE Officer to all Kick-off Meetings for training and reminder to make sure that the team is HSE ready for installation
• Prepare the details, materials, and material board for the quotation based on the design and client requirements and verify the technical aspect of quotes received from vendors/suppliers.
• Coordination between client, site, sub-contractors & suppliers. Negotiation of prices with subcontractors & suppliers and various project partners.
• PM to be responsible for following up on the production done by the subcontractors including metal, glass, leather cladding, etc.
• Checking of invoices from sub-contractors based on the work done at the site. Preparing the final settlements /bills for the suppliers after work is completed; double-checking the amount versus the actual job done or material delivered
• Arranging material samples and orders abroad through sending mail and consistent coordination
• Quality control of work done at the site before handover and in the workshop before delivery/shipment. A timely visit to both suppliers and production to check the quality and schedule of works
• Enforce rules, regulations, and procedures at the site.
• Contact the respective regulatory authorities to inspect and comment on the completed fit-out works for the issuance of the completion certificate—site Handover Form to be used.
• PM is also responsible for the debriefing meeting with the Foremen, Production head, PC, and Detailers to analyze the challenges and highlight them for the next projects.
• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
• Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
• Help to control costs against budgets and prepare reports as applicable
• Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
• Prepare all required Monthly Payment Applications and Variations along with approval follow up
• Maintain project logs against technical and commercial submittals
• Report on weekly basis on activities and project information.
• Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
• Assist company with its activities of improvement plan
Experience
• University Graduate, preferably an Engineering degree in Civil.
• Experience in construction operations in relation with our specialties of minimum 7 years in UAE market.
• Proven work experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
• Ability to understand technical and contractual requirements linked with specification and projects
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design mainly (CAD)
• Candidates from within UAE and available immediately
• Must have driving license and a car for day to day work
• Must have a sound knowledge base of construction techniques, understand engineering and procurement plans
